But we're also the ones who accept older and ailing animals, often beloved pets, that their owners can simply no longer care for.

We are an all-volunteer, 501 c (3) not for profit organization, licensed by the state of Missouri. Since Warren County is still a mostly rural area, it has become a dumping ground for unwanted pets from nearby urban counties. Our main goal is to find good homes and forever families for these "disposable" pets.

Babylon covers 53 square miles and is serviced by 3 Animal Control Officers. Our office staff handles complaints from residents and dispatches over 5,000 calls per year to the Animal Control Officers. Our kennel attendants care for the 3,600 animals which enter the shelter annually and we have an adoption rate of over 80%.
