Over the past two years, people around the world have been captivated by the sad story of one poor pup. Today, Lennox was put to sleep by the Belfast City Council who deemed him to be dangerous, just because he was a "pit-bull type" dog. At Play Pet Brands, we are 100% against Breed Specific Legislation, and send our heartfelt condolences to his family and all others who mourn his passing.

This past week, we spent a few days in sunny Salt Lake City for BlogPaws 2012. We had a great time catching up, meeting new people and as always, sharing P.L.A.Y.'s story and products! Probably one of the most memorable moments, was seeing Tillman the skateboarding dog, do what he does best!

It's hard to believe that just over a year ago we started a little company called P.L.A.Y. We are so thankful for the successes and milestones we've had so far, and look forward to many more in 2012. Last week we had the privilege of attending BlogPaws 2011 in Tyson’s Corner, VA (just a hop away from DC). While Hurricane Irene definitely created some trouble, we had a great time at the event! More than anything we were so excited to meet many of the fantastic bloggers and companies we’ve grown to know and love. (Let me tell you, they’re even more wonderful in person!). In addition to all of the amazing people, we learned about wonderful causes as well – in particular, Pedigree’s Write a Post, Help a Dog program.

This past Saturday, our Celebrity Signature Pet Bed auctions came to a wrap - we are more than thrilled that we could spread the word and raise funds for an amazing organization like the San Francisco SPCA who is fighting to do just that...
